Today I finally tried to search and find out more about the problem. I have heard that this is supposed to be fixed in Thunderbird 3, and I tried it but a lot of the extensions I need aren’t compatible with it. Then I have to wait until I can see the message. One of the minor things I’ve noticed when I use Thunderbird on my IMAP accounts is that it doesn’t download IMAP messages until I click on them. Thunderbird has a buried setting that will make this part of the automatic message checking. ![]() I would have to manually click on each filtered folder and open it to find out if there were new, unread messages. It Extracts all attachments from selected messages and then can delete. The only problem with this setup was that I wasn’t being informed that there were new messages arriving in these folders, only the inbox. This add-on is a (work in progress) fixed version of the original Add-on 'AttachmentExtractor' which is no longer supported and fixed by the original author.
